New Research Highlights the Broader Role of Testosterone in Women’s Health
A recent peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Personalized Medicine followed 332 women receiving individualized testosterone therapy and found meaningful improvements across multiple areas of health and wellbeing.
Researchers reported improvements in:
• Energy and fatigue
• Mood and irritability
• Cognitive function
• Sexual health
• Overall quality of life
The study also noted favorable metabolic biomarker changes, including improvements in triglycerides and hormone balance markers.
One of the most important findings? Many women identified improvements in energy, mood, and mental clarity as even more impactful than changes in libido.
As research continues to evolve, testosterone is increasingly being explored not only as a reproductive hormone, but as an important contributor to women’s systemic health, metabolism, cognition, and quality of life.
