Testosterone Improves Verbal Learning and Memory in Postmenopausal Women

Davison et al., 2011

This pilot study explored the effects of testosterone therapy on cognitive performance in healthy postmenopausal women. The authors reported improvement in verbal learning and memory, adding to the growing conversation around testosterone’s neurologic and quality-of-life effects. While the study is small and best interpreted as exploratory, it illustrates that testosterone’s relevance in women extends beyond sexual health into brain function and cognition. (ScienceDirect)
